September 1st  - The trafficking of Myanmar brides into China is driven by socio-economic instability in Myanmar, compounded by the civil conflicts and lack of humanitarian aid, as well as China’s gender imbalance and societal pressure for marriage. While a unified border control could mitigate the trafficking crisis, it would not address the underlying social issues in both countries that create desperation and demand for trafficked brides.

Examining China's investments in quantum R&D and the potential for quantum cyberattacks highlights the urgent need for the U.S. and its allies to address the implications of a Chinese quantum supremacy, even if its full technological maturity still remains in question.

September 6th 2024 - Do two party or multi party democracies produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions? The following is a research proposal that aims to control for environmental consciousness in the relationship between Green party seats and emissions. It also proposes examining the effects of New Zealand’s 1993 electoral reform on party dynamics and emission reductions. Preliminary results are included in this report.

September 8th 2024 - This paper aims to analyze existing studies in the fields of food and transportation access and recommend ways to bridge the gap between them to inform policies that can realize a more healthy and environmentally sustainable society.  After establishing the links between transportation and food access, this paper will recommend areas between the two fields that require further research and explains why they matter in the context of food access.
